In-house Resistor Manufacturing
Load elements are wound, coated and burn-in tested on our own lines, so element tolerance, temperature drift and derating behaviour are controlled rather than sourced.
About Us
3M Load Bank designs and manufactures resistive test loads for teams who have to prove that a power system holds up under real load — not on paper. We build the load elements, cabinets, cooling packages and control systems ourselves, which is why we can quote a non-standard voltage, an unusual step pattern or a space-constrained cabinet without redesigning around a catalogue.
Our equipment is used for UPS and generator acceptance testing in data centers, shipboard and shore-supply commissioning in shipyards and naval programs, inverter and energy-storage validation on new-energy sites, ground-power and avionics testing in aerospace facilities, and factory acceptance testing at generator manufacturers.
Most projects start as a specification conversation: rated power, voltage and frequency, step resolution, power factor, control protocol, ambient conditions and how the unit has to be moved on site. From there we scope a configuration, confirm cooling and exhaust requirements, and manufacture to that specification.
Load elements are wound, coated and burn-in tested on our own lines, so element tolerance, temperature drift and derating behaviour are controlled rather than sourced.
Air-cooled, liquid-cooled (3M8000 series), air-liquid hybrid, container-type, rack-mount and portable formats — built to the voltage, frequency and step resolution the test program needs.
Every unit is run at rated load before crating: step accuracy, power factor behaviour, exhaust temperature, noise level, control protocol and metering are recorded on a test report that ships with the equipment.
Enquiries reach a manufacturing engineer, not a reseller. Single-line diagrams, cable sizing, cooling loop requirements and Modbus integration are scoped directly with your commissioning team.

We design, build and test resistive load banks in-house — so the engineer answering your technical questions is the same team that welds the frames and signs off the test data.

Send your power range, voltage, frequency and site conditions — our manufacturer engineer replies with a configuration proposal and full technical specification.
